Thanks to Dr. Stephen Clarke-Willson for passing along this story from the Economic Policy Journal.  Every paragraph has at least a couple of facts right.  I still have doubts, though, a conspiracy this deep and vast could ever have been bottled up (at least not without killing most of those in the know).  About the only person he didn’t include in the conspiracy was Bobby.   But still, fascinating, and he builds an interesting, but often flawed and paranoid case.

Alien Lore No. 189 -- UFOs and Aliens Over Kent, Washington

Kent, Washington, the former farm town (pop: 3,200 when I was born), and now suburb (pop: 114,218), where I grew up, has become a hotbed of UFO sightings and activity.  In fact, UFORC (the UFO research center) is located there (this is not NUFORC, another group entirely). 

Here are a few of the Kent UFO reports from the last few years.  Unfortunately, there have been no reports that I can find of Visitors/Greys/EBEs/Aliens.  Apparently they like to fly over, but not actually stop in Kent. 

Kent, Washington sighting. August 11, 2010 - Report from NUFORC.  "A man steps out of his truck at his place of employment, and sees an object passing overhead in the sky. His initial reaction was that it was a conventional aircraft, but he quickly realized that it was a triangular-shaped craft. He estimates that it was visible for approximately 10 seconds." The illustration the witness provided of the object can be seen above.

A recent report from UFOs Northwest on an October sighting in Kent:

Date of Sighting: October 29, 2010.  Time of Sighting: 2 PM PDT.  Location of Sighting: Kent, Washington

Description: I saw a small speck (very distant). It seemed to be gradually moving farther away. It was metallic in color with what looked like some haze or halo around it. I spotted the object in the North or Northeast sky.

Note: Sometimes regular aircraft are mistaken for UFOs when they are long distance away. It is not known if this is the case here.

"A couple of friends and I were sitting outside of a park in Kent, Washington. After sitting for a while, I started spacing out and looking into the sky off in the distance while my other two friends were talking. Let me say that I have never really been a firm believer of aliens and UFOs but what I saw just puzzled me and it's the only conclusion that I can make of what I saw with my own two eyes. Also, let me say that I was sober at the time."

Uh-oh. Is Senator Lindsey Graham about to be outed?

Gay rights activist Mike Rogers, a professional outer of closeted, hypocritical gay politicians (and I freely admit, a worthless P.O.S. in his own right), claims to have "pictures of a man who spent the night" with Sen. Lindsey Graham. He's supposedly meeting with his lawyer today before releasing them.

From Gawker:  "Rogers' previous outings of Ex-Rep. Mark Foley, Ex-Sen. Larry Craig and Ex-RNC chair Ken Mehlman, among others, once earned him the completely arbitrary title of 'most feared man on the Hill.' He keeps a list, and there are still many names on it."

"Lindsey Graham has been hounded by gay rumors since his first runs for Congress in the '90s. He has never been married, which, to some, proves everything. The rumors still come up regularly, like when another South Carolina politician let it slip in a 2009 interview. And the New York Times Magazine asked him about it in a big profile earlier this year, to which Graham responded, "I ain't gay."

Desmond Morris writes in Gestures: Their Origins and Distribution that the "infamous or indecent finger" is mentioned several times in Ancient Roman literature. . .including Martial: "Laugh loudly, Sextillus, when someone calls you a queen and put your middle finger out. . .but you are no sodomite nor fornicator either, Sextillus, nor is Vetustina's hot mouth your fancy."  Suetonius, writing about Augustus Caesar, says the emperor "expelled [the entertainer] Pylades . . . because when a spectator started to hiss, he called the attention of the whole audience to him with an obscene movement of his middle finger."  Interestingly, most people seem to believe the finger originated sometime in the 20th century.

Morris also that claims Caligula, as an insult, would extend his middle finger for supplicants to kiss.  We've read Suetonius too, and, actually, it wasn't just his middle finger Little Boots proffered for kissing.
